Brent L. Robinson
Brent has been an associate at Carscallen since completing his articles with the firm in 2005. Brent’s practice focuses on advising and advocating for clients in civil litigation and regulatory or administrative matters, with an aim to resolving disputes effectively and efficiently.
In an oil and gas context, Brent has acted for clients on operations disputes, leasehold interest disputes, royalty issues and negligence tort claims. Brent also advises clients on employment related matters including wrongful dismissal, wrongful use of confidential information, non-competition agreements, employment standards and human rights violations. His experience in these matters also assists Brent in providing advice to clients on structuring employment relationships and oil and gas transactions. Brent has also acted in a wide variety of construction, commercial and estate disputes.
Brent has appeared before the Alberta Provincial Court (Civil Division), Court of Queen’s Bench and Court of Appeal as well as the Energy Resources Conservation Board and referees under the Canada Labour Code.
