Dale E. Johns

Since 1982 Dale's practice has focused on civil litigation. He has represented clients in over 35 reported Alberta Court of Queen's Bench trials, and in numerous cases before the Alberta Court of Appeal. He has appeared as counsel before the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Alberta Workers Compensation Board and the WCB Appeals Commission.

Dale has extensive experience acting as counsel in various forms of alternate dispute resolution, including private mediation and arbitration, and court managed mediation.

His risk management experience includes commercial insurance disputes, coverage cases, products liability, defamation, catastrophic negligence and tort-contract claims. He is listed by Lexpert as a repeatedly recommended personal injury lawyer and has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants in all manner of serious injury claims.

His commercial and general litigation experience includes employment and wrongful dismissal claims, construction disputes, and oil and gas litigation.

Dale has served on the firm's management committee and has been the head of the firm's Risk Management Department since 1993.

Dale has been the author of academic papers, a seminar instructor and speaker, with the following:
