Dale E. Johns

Since 1982 Dale's practice has focused on civil litigation. He has extensive experience as trial counsel and appeal counsel, and frequently acts as counsel in various forms of alternate dispute resolution, including private mediation, court managed mediation and arbitration. He has also appeared as counsel before the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Alberta Workers Compensation Board and the WCB Appeals Commission.

His peers have selected him to be included in The Best Lawyers in Canada each year since since 2008 and he is listed by Lexpert as a repeatedly recommended personal injury lawyer. Dale has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants in all manner of serious injury claims.

His risk management experience includes cases involving catastrophic negligence, commercial insurance disputes, insurance coverage, products liability, defamation, and tort-contract claims. His commercial and general litigation experience includes employment and wrongful dismissal claims, construction disputes, and oil and gas litigation.

Dale has served on the firm's management committee and has been the head of the firm's Insurance and Risk Management Practice Group since 1993.

Dale has presented papers and has been a seminar instructor or speaker for the following organizations:
