Peter E. Hayvren
Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Peter obtained a BSc from McGill University in 1975 and then moved west to Calgary which he has called home ever since. Prior to commencing studies in law, Peter obtained a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary and taught junior high school science for three years. Peter graduated from the University of Calgary Law School and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1984. He joined the Calgary law firm of Walsh Wilkins after graduation and practised with them for 13 years.
Peter joined Carscallen LLP in February of 1998. Peter's practise of law is concentrated primarily in the areas of general corporate and commercial law with unique experience in privatization of public services and corporate governance. Peter is a registered trade-mark agent and has extensive experience in legal management of intellectual property in the areas of trade-mark and copyright. Peter has ongoing community involvement and is presently President of theBoard of Directors of Aspen Family & Community Network Society, a family and community support agency.
