Catherine A. Crang

Cathy is a partner in the litigation department at Carscallen Leitch LLP. She practices in the areas of commercial litigation, oil and gas litigation and regulatory law, and has been involved in a variety of commercial disputes at every stage of the litigation and dispute resolution process. Cathy has acted as counsel in complex commercial and oil and gas litigation cases, arbitrations and regulatory proceedings, including matters concerning gas purchase and sale agreements, CAPL and other energy industry agreements, pipeline and facilities contracts and commercial disputes generally. She also has expertise in employment and human rights matters and has provided advice on restrictive covenants, employment agreements, wrongful dismissals, fiduciary duties, injunction proceedings and breach of confidence issues. Cathy has appeared and argued at all levels of Court in Alberta and before a variety of regulatory boards, mediators and arbitrators. Cathy is an active participant in a number of community organizations and enjoys skiing, camping and biking with her family.
